Senior Microsoft 365 Support Engineer

Role Description

– Work independently or together with the team architects to migrate, improve, and support customers on Office 365 services
– Self-management of the own work with minimal oversight
– Proactively communicates status and risks to project leadership and/or customers
– Participate in customer meetings to gather business and technical requirements for projects or services
– Solve mission-critical problems impacting the client environment
– Build customer relationship and act as trusted advisor
– Support, educate and coach the 24/7 L1 and L2 technical support team
– Writing up of KB articles and best practices in accordance with customer guidelines
– Provide service for escalated requests requiring PowerShell scripting and execution within Office 365 allowable constraints
– Provide support and administration for SharePoint online in the following areas:

    • Search configuration changes
    • SharePoint Online Site Collection
    • Administration for Profiles including user attribute and properties administration
    • Support and administration for MySite

– Manage and provide access to the Microsoft OneDrive for Business environment with Store management, Search capabilities, application interoperability and reporting
– Providing support and administration tasks related to (but not limited):

    • PowerApps
    • Flow
    • PowerBI
    • Teams
    • Planner

– Perform configuration changes within the parameters of Office 365 and following the documented change control process.
– Provide Root Cause Analysis report for Office 365 unplanned outages and issues where available from Microsoft

Position Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Computer science or Engineering or Mathematics

4+ years Office 365 technical support experience

Ability to troubleshoot Office 365 related issues

Knowledge in implementing, migrating and configuring Office 365 workloads such as SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams and Skype for Business

SharePoint on premises and SharePoint Online experience

Active Directory and Exchange/Skype for Business/Teams experience

PowerShell experience

Extensive knowledge with cloud technologies and cloud applications

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to make recommendations to clients dealing with various needs

Comfortable working on-site with customers

Demonstrated focus on team development and on-time project/solutions delivery.
